GET TO KNOW YOUR DOCTOR

WHY DID YOU BECOME A DOCTOR?

There have been a lot of things that have happened in my life that have guided me in this direction. I was working as a chemist, working with Botox, fillers, implants, etc., but the job was lonely in the lab. I am a social person and was recommended to medicine because I like interaction. I was introduced to other providers and just went for it!

WHAT IS YOUR APPROACH TO TREATMENT?

Everyone is different and everyone has different barriers, strengths, and weaknesses. I am patient-centered, I like getting to know them and building a relationship that encourages them to be honest with me about treatments that seem possible for their body and their lifestyle.

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON HELPNG THE POPULATION OF WOMEN SUFFERING WITH ENDOMETRIOSIS?

I don’t think many women know that there’s treatment options for endometriosis. When I tell people what PRM’s treatment approach is, they usually have never heard of it and their only knowledge about treating endometriosis is usually a one-step, when it should not be. No treatment should be just one step. I believe that educating more women about the possibilities of treatment is very important.

WHAT’S SOMETHING YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT PELVIC HEALTH?

There’s not just one treatment for any one patient. We have treatment plans that focus on our patients, and not just the traditional step-by-step guidelines. At PRM, we give our patients other options that other physicians may not know about, which are more than just the standard.
