With a core value of expanding access to care for pelvic pain, Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine (PRM) has officially opened in Los Angeles, California, its first location on the West Coast. Providing treatment for conditions such as chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, pain with intercourse, and vaginismus, patients suffering with pelvic pain can now experience the PRM difference – decreased pain, restorative function, and improved quality of life.
On Thursday, September 14, 2023, Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine welcomed over thirty physical therapists and providers in the pelvic pain space from the Greater Los Angeles Area to meet our team of providers and learn more about our multimodal approach to treatment.
Guests were given the opportunity to observe a live demonstration of PRM’s first of its kind ultrasound-guided treatment to the pelvis, which involves pelvic floor injections to treat the inflammation of nerves and tightness of muscles in the pelvis.
At PRM, we collaborate with patients’ care teams and implement a multidisciplinary, multimodal approach to help patients who may want to decrease surgery, hormones, or opioids to resolve their pelvic pain symptoms. By doing this, we are filling a gap in the healthcare system for pelvic pain patients who are seeking answers and relief for their symptoms.
Establishing relationships and collaborating with the providers who care for patients with pelvic pain is crucial to ensuring that patients are provided a more accurate diagnosis and effective treatment to decrease their pain.
We are so excited to have been welcomed into the Los Angeles Pelvic Pain community and are looking forward to working together to serve our patients!
