GET TO KNOW YOUR DOCTOR

WHY DID YOU BECOME A DOCTOR?

I have always been a proponent for women's health. I was drawn to Gynecology not only because could I relate to some of the symptoms, but also because I felt women deserve high quality and specialized care. I knew that in this role I could help change lives for the better and be the best advocate I can be for women and their quality of life.

WHAT ARE THE GOALS OF YOUR APPROACH/TREATMENT/PROGRAM?

My first goal is to listen. I want to understand each concern and symptom fully. Next, I believe strongly in a multidisciplinary approach for optimal outcomes. My ultimate goal is for my patients to improve their quality of life. I do not stop seeing a patient until their symptoms improve.

WHAT IS YOUR APPROACH TO MEDICINE?

A holistic approach has been shown time and time again to have the best outcomes. That means treating not just the disease, but more importantly the person as a whole. This also helps identify confounding factors that can also be contributing to symptoms.

HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE PATIENT CARE?

Patient care should be individualized. Each patient requires personalized treatment as not every treatment for a diagnosis works for each individual. A team approach to listen, guide, and fully explain options for care allows our patients to have autonomy and a team approach to decision making.
